Responding to Quality and Risk Adjustment Medical Record Requests Online via AvailityTM Web Portal

The AvailityTM Medical Attachment tool allows providers to receive electronic quality and risk adjustment medical record requests from BCBSOK. Beginning Feb. 15, 2018,providers can upload and submit the necessary medical records to BCBSOK using the Medical Attachment option in the Claims & Payments menu through the Availity Web portal.

To receive and respond to these medical records requests, you must be registered with Availity Learn more about third-party links. To enable this feature, administrators must log in select Enrollment Center > Medical Attachments Setup, then enter the required data. At this time, electronic medical record request and submission process are not available for medical record requests resulting from utilization review activities or the claims adjudication process. We anticipate offering additional capabilities throughout 2018.
